Global Warming

Is the Globe really warming?

A huge array of scientific data supports the theory that the surface temperature of the earth is increasing. That does not mean that it is getting warmer everywhere. A better term to use is Climate Change. The climate around the world is changing due to a dramtic increase in Carbon Dioxide and other "greenhouse" gases in the atmosphere.

What can we do?

The great thing is that there is something that can be done on all levels. As individuals, we can all take action to reduce our energy usage in the home, at work and while driving and traveling. Peak Energy Solutions can help prioritize projects on your home or building to reduce your energy consumption. Do things to increase your car's gas millage, such as: make sure your tires are properly inflated, combine errands to reduce trips to town, and when you buy a car, buy one that gets better than 30 mpg.

And then what?

Your house is tight and warm, and your car is efficient... The next step is to buy renewable energy for your home and car. One way to do this is by purchasing Renewable Energy Credits. Then start writing letters to your state and federal representatives asking for our governments to support measures to reduce greenhouse gases. Support organizations that implement Carbon reductions worldwide.

Still don't believe?

Even if you don't belive in Climate Change... tell me the down side of doing the things that will also reduce CO2 emissions! Homes can be more comfortable, we can all save some money, we can send less of our hard earned money to countries that hate us, we can create new high paying jobs (because the return on investment is so high), we can stimulate our education system to produce more mathmaticians and scientists. I think that the only folks who are not liking the talk of all of this are the fuel dealers...
